Virginia!!

Sorry it has been SO long. Ben brought the flu home from work one day without actually getting it himself. I was pretty sick. Then my Aunt Mindy passed away from ovarian cancer, so we traveled up to her funeral. It was fun to attend her funeral and spend time with all my aunts, uncles and cousins and share our memories of her. She will be missed, but we know that she is no longer in pain. Following the funeral was Thanksgiving and now we have been getting ready for Christmas. But, I promise to catch up with my posts.

So, Gavin's grandparents missed him so much that they flew him and me to Virginia for a visit. It was SO fun and our time there went by WAY too fast. I cannot wait until we get to see them again--and I know Gavin feels the same.

Gavin really enjoyed the plane ride. I was nervous to be by myself with him on his first plane ride, but it went really well. He laughed during landing and loved looking out the window. He did cry some, but that was from teething pain.
Thankfully we had three seats to ourselves, so he was able to spread out.
Grandpa and Grandma Mullins--they loved spending time with their favorite grandson!
Gavin had fun playing with Grandpa's giant remote.
Gavin got to meet a lot of new people.
Great Aunt Julie
Great Aunt Lisa
Sidney, first cousin once removed
Lily, first cousin once removed
Mattie and Annie, first cousins once removed
Jake, first cousin once removed.
Jake loved Gavin! And Gavin loved Jake!
Lindsay, first cousin once removed
Me with Sara, who is also, you guessed it, a first cousin once removed.
Me with Aunt Elizabeth
Lauren (first cousin once removed), Sara and Elizabeth
Gavin was the center of attention at the big family dinner.
Elizabeth and Sara--I miss them SO much--Thanks again Elizabeth for changing Gavin's diaper!
Lily, Gavin and Great Grandma Mullins
Gavin loves Great Grandma Mullins--he has her to thank for most of his wardrobe.
Gavin enjoying a peaceful moment to himself.
More giant remote time. He just loved it...and the ceiling fan.
I think Gavin had the most fun with Grandpa. They went on walks together, played together and Grandpa fed him all sorts of wonderful things.
Gavin loved getting water from a spoon, but I think he liked the chocolate more.
The morning before we left, Gavin watched some TV with Aunt Elizabeth. He was enthrolled.

It's so good to see you posting again. It looks like your trip to Virginia was so much fun. I'm so glad he did so well in the plane.

I'm glad he did well on the plane too. I've heard scary stories from other people! Gavin looks SO cuddly.
